At the end of the first period:

  • A Solar Fuels roadmap and specific rollout scenarios of our highly scalable technology. Our common workshop in collaboration with the SUNERGY project gives a first glimpse. Read more about the event here.
  • Technical results show the selective synthesis of isobutanol from CO2, hydrogen and oxygen. Watch it happening here.

    New Partner

    REFINE welcomes a new member to its consortium, the Solar Energy Research Centre (CIESOL). CIESOL is an Affiliated Entity to CIEMAT-PSA, and it will contribute expertise in high-end analytical techniques for the detection of isobutanol, as well as any by-products produced by the genetically modified C. necator bacterial cultures.     Public Deliverables published

    All public deliverables from the first periodic report are accepted and published by the EU and REFINE. A ton of free knowledge ranging from social sciences to cutting solar cells to materials selection for sustainable water electrolysis can be found and downloaded for free from our Documents and Media page.
